Jesus said we are the light of the world. If we are the light of Christ, then the responsibility falls to us to shine out. Where are we shining? In our four walled sanctuaries we call churches that only those inside can see? Or are we providing light to the hungry, the thirsty, the sick those needing shelter from the storms in their lives or encouragement in their own private bondages?
I see a renewal movement is on the horizon for the Church. I dare call it a revival.... Our generation and most definitely our children’s generations are crying out: "There must be something more!"
No longer can we just "do church" as the old status quo.... Why are churches numbers dwindling??? People aren't looking for social clubs anymore; if they want clubs they can just go join a gym or join the country club or better still get on the internet.... They aren't
Looking for entertainment... If they want entertainment they need only to turn on the TV, go to the movies, or an event..... No, they are looking for something real.... they are looking for the almighty power of God! They need to see the Shekinah glory of God as the children of Israel did. Difference now is that the Spirit today manifests it's self through our hands as we are the hands of Jesus. Question is, are we as individual’s displaying the hands of
glory?
