We have had a lot of loss and sadness this past month. From the devastation of the tornados to the brutality we see around the world And I hear people around me asking, "Why did this happen?"
Friends, even though the temptation is to become angry at God. God's word tells us that God inhabits the praises of the people. God promises healing if we turn to prayer. In praise we are promised joy! In praise we are promised peace! It is only in our hungering for more of God that we truly find the source of eternal satisfaction. I want to encourage you to begin to practice praise when the storms arise. Get into the habit of rejoicing and see if that doesn't send the devil running. Though it may seem like it from human perspective, we are not in a battle against flesh and blood. But we are a war with powers of darkness and the only way to defeat him is through the powerful name and blood of Jesus Christ. He is so good! His faithful love endures forever!
