Do you know why God chooses misfits to do his Kingdom work??
Why he chooses cracked vessels to be his disciples both then and now??
I mean think about the men and women He called to do the greatest works
the ones we read about in Sunday School …. He picked murderers, idolaters,
adulterers, prostitutes, just to name a few. Jesus has always called the most
broken vessels to pour His Spirit into not only in Bible times but now.
And do you know why??
It’s because when Jesus pours the Holy Spirit into a cracked vessel, it leaks!
And so the Holy Spirit leaks out of those cracked cups and those broken
vessels and leaks out onto those around them. If you are I were perfect,
if we didn’t have any of those cracks or broken places in our vessels the
Spirit would just sit there and get cold like an old cup of
coffee.
